Micro caps are listed companies worth roughly $50 million to $300 million. They receive little analyst coverage and are too small for many funds to own, which is why some investors search here for overlooked businesses. This screen lists all US-listed stocks in that size band. The trade-off is real: micro caps tend to have wider bid-ask spreads, more volatile prices and less financial disclosure depth than larger peers, and some trade only lightly, so checking average volume before acting on any idea is sensible.
